Mann’s Cove and Woodson Cove Campgrounds

The Mann’s Cove and Woodson Cove campgrounds are small spaces open to the public. They’re both located on the east side of Toronto Reservoir and can be accessed from Highway 105.

Mann’s Cove is open to tent campers only. It has 15 tent sites, a pit toilet, two water spigots and a boat ramp. All campsites are first come, first serve.

This is an excellent campground for kayaker and canoers, and it’s an access point for the Blue Water Trail.

The Blue Water Trail gives you access to places on the lake, via canoe and kayak, that other boats can’t normally reach. It’s complete with 15 signs that stick out of the water and describe surrounding landscape features like rock formations and fauna.

The Woodson Cove Area is close to the dam site area. It has five tent sites and a pit toilet.

The Overlook Trail is in the Woodson Cove Area. This is a 1-1/4 mile hiking and mountain biking trail that goes up and down steep ravines and along a cliff that overlooks the lake.

Despite its short length, the trail is challenging for hikers and bikers because of the sandstone outcroppings and strenuous climbs, but the spectacular views are well worth it!

The Mann’s Cove and Woodson Cove campgrounds make perfect base camps for everything there is to do at Toronto Lake.
